Spring Fresh!

Hey!!! Easter break has begun and me and Pearl have loads planned for the week ahead, mostly parks, fairs and and Easter parade. I'm enjoying mummy daughter activities with her getting a bit older!

Today, because the weather was just awesome, we went out for lunch 'Alfreso' at a restaurant near home. I wore this peachy/nude skirt I bought recently at Primark. I had been eyeing a similar skirt at Topshop but couldn't justify it's price tag. So u can imagine my joy at finding this gorgeous version for £12. I loved the lighter material which is far more appropriate for the summer. I kept it simple, paired with a crisp white H&M top and peachy accessories from New Look.

I completed my look with my gorgeous tri-tone t.bar Zara heels from last spring/summer. These are another favourite of mine especially in terms of comfort.

Hope you all have a lovely week ahead.

Office Chic 2

Hey. I have doubled up today's blog posts to cover the last 2 office looks.

Look 1: H&M everything!

I opted to go all black on both looks. I love this pencil skirt. I generally don't think the length is great on me but with the high platform heel it didn't look too bad. The graphic floral print blazer popped really well against the black outfit  and worked really well with the grey shoes. I must say, for me, this was my favourite look.

Look 2: H&M pants, shirt & bag. Zara blazer. Bershka wedges.

The shirt & ankle grazing pants combo is a great classic that can be reworked with a different colour/pattern shirt and a different blazer without looking too repetitive! I love the colour of the blazer. It's bright enough for a pop of colour but subtle enough for office wear.  I wore these degrade wedges which are cute and comfy but a simple pair of black pumps would do the trick. And off course my bag!! I doubt anything says boss like this bag. I love it.

Hope you are all well.

Take care.

Jeans & Shirt.

Hey. Today I had to meet some of my Boo's colleagues in his absence so I really wanted to put a classy classic ensemble together but still keep it fun and appropriate.

I used to love shirts, still do, but I have not worn a simple white shirt in the longest time, so I brought out the crispy whites and paired it with dark jeans and nude heels. A classic, never fails, combo.

My fun factor, this awesome rich green blazer! I can't even say how much I love it. The colour, fit and quality is top notch really. Zara never fails though. I added a green statement neck piece and this contrasting tan/mustard messenger bag that I found at TKmaxx.

Take care.

Must have!!! (Under £50)

Hey. I came across these gorgeous pieces on my shopping shenanigans and thought to share them with you guys.

I'm absolutely in love with these dresses from H&M. They are classic, gorgeous and super affordable. The fit and quality is great too. Drape/wrap dress, super flattering! Love them!!!

I am also seriously crushing on these Zara coats!!! Winter doesn't have to be dull with a gorgeous colourful & warm number. Love these too. And again, I think they are super affordable especially for Zara.

With the festive season coming up, I'd love to find myself a lovely metallic (preferably gold) clutch. I love the top 2. They are so chic. But I love the colour on the bottom 2. Sigh. Why do we have to choose in life??? Self control!!!
Top. New look. H&M.
Bottom. Both TKMaxx

I love the midi pencil skirt trend. I'm not really sure it suits me but so many ladies I have seen rocking this trend inspire me to jump on the band wagon and if I do, it will be with this high waisted number! I have been drooling over this Zara skirt for the longest time!

When it comes to shoes, I always have a pending wish list. I never get enough!! My current obsessions are these babies. I actually bought the ox blood pair but had to return them because they didn't fit. :(  I am eagerly awaiting the delivery of the yellow (chartreuse) pair. I so hope they are as beautiful as they are pictured.
And these orange sandals....OMG! I had to have a thorough talking to myself to practise some self control and leave them in the shop. I promise you, they are even cuter in real life. But it's November! How do I justify barely there sandals?? Il find a way because these are screaming my name. Knowing me I'd sooner get the sandal than the coat. Smh.
Ox blood- Dorothy Perkins
Yellow- Miss Selfridge
Orange- River Island.

So these I my current hot picks! Maybe someone will see something they like!!

Ladies who Lunch!

Hey! I hope you are all having a good weekend. Today Pearl and I went out for some lunch at a Marks & Spencer near home. We treated ourselves to some yummy quiche and a selection of deserts (the main reason for going there). It's almost Pearl's 3rd birthday so I'm spoiling her more than usual and she actually sits still in restaurants now!

Because we were fairly close to home and only out for a short while, I decided to go against the weather and wear these cute bright red shorts I got last year at Topshop. They are a tweed material and are lined so they are actually a bit cosy. I paired them with a simple natural white blouse and added and sparkly red statement necklace

I hadn't planned on wearing these shoes, but picked them last minute. I have grown to love these printed heels. Father of Pearl bought them for me because he liked them and I wasn't really convinced at the time. I think this was the second or third time wearing them and though they are a tad bit high, they are still fairly comfortable.

And after what seems like ages, I had a hair cut! My hairdresser, Ty didn't want to go so extreme but I really wanted a change. And I'm glad, this will grow out so well!!!

Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Take care.

Leather on leather

Hey! So I had to do some shopping for a client yesterday and it was cold, windy and raining. It's really the getting out of the house that's annoying, but once I'm out I'm all good.

I wore this predominantly leather I outfit (hoping I'd avoid getting drenched ). The leather legging and top are a similar shade of khaki and went really well with my new favourite nude heels. These are awesome neutral comfortable heels that go with most things and they are great in the rain. (Unlike all my suede/faux suede heels)

I added a statement necklace and animal print clutch and this black leather combination waterfall jacket I got last year.

I bagged a couple of pairs of sensible autumn/winter ankle boots. What do you think??

Leather & Plaid.

Hey!!! I wore this outfit a few days back out with my sister in law. I'm not very much into midi skirts but I loved this ox blood pleather (faux leather) skirt at first sight.

The A line shape and high waist is rather flattering and it really is a great skirt for this cool weather.

I paired it with this matching plaid shirt and simple nude heels for a trendy autumn look.

Take care.

Casual & Relaxed.

Hey. I buy every issue of Black Hair & Black Beauty magazines. Quite frankly I'm not sure why I still buy them because they are the same each time. Anyway, this last issue had a pictorial on how to tie a head scarf the cute way and I found it to be very useful, hence this trial. I'm usually very conscious about headgears, hats etc because I have a tiny head.  It turns out I kind of like this.

I rocked my cosy sweater with jeans for a comfortable and relaxed look out shopping. It's been such a wake up call with Pearl starting nursery all the stuff she needs. A steadily growing list of wellies, socks, gloves, hats.....that stay at school!!! So I feel like I'm doubling up on everything.  The joys of parenting!!!

Anyway, I wore my current favourites, nude heels which I was ever so grateful for stomping in the rain. I would have cried in suede heels. Completed with a two tone bag for a comfortable and relaxed look.

Happy Weekend.

Take care.

Pumpkin Spice.

Hey. I had a lovely day out shopping with a dear friend today and it was such a lovely day. We got some coffee, (pumpkin spice latte for me) which made me realise how well into autumn we are.

I'm usually a bit matchy matchy so this was a bit different for me. Four solid different autumn colours. Burgundy skinny trousers with a cream blazer over a burnt orange vest.

I would say I finished the look off with these simple chic nude heels, but I think the inspiration for the whole outfit started with the shoes and worked it's way up. I have added a outfit set to show the colours a bit better because I wasn't too pleased with the pictures. In need of a good new camera!

Take care

The Right Fit.

Hey! Today was a rather lovely day well spent with my little girl. We had a few errands to run and later had a lunch date. She is growing so fast and it's great doing stuff with her.

I opted for another no fuss number. This simple maxi dress with slits is just that... A simple maxi dress with slits!!  But what makes me love this dress is its fit on me!! It just brings out so many curves on me that no other dress does and I love that!

I wore it with my pretty strappy heels and initially wore my embellished waistcoat (you can never be too sure with British weather) but I soon opted to do without it because it really was a nice cool day.

Today I actually bothered to use my mini flat iron on my hair! Very tedious task since I'm now used to finger combing, but I was pleased with the outcome.

Take care.

Autumn skort.

Hey!!! So I love it when something I love transitions into the next season. I loved Zara's summer skort and I was happy to see they have a selection in autumn ready materials and and prints.

I loved this printed skort the minute I saw it. The mixture of grey/navy/red just worked for me!

I wore it really casual with a navy sweater and grey ankle strap heels to meet an old friend from Uni I hadn't seen in a few years. Many laughs and 'do you remembers' shared but it was a lovely and very productive day. Now I'm going to sit back and watch my Formula 1 which thankfully I have not had a spoiler alert for.

Happy Sunday

Take care.

Florals & Green!

Hey!! I always enjoy bright colours in what I wear. So today was another one of those days I played with prints & colours. I wore this lovely floral print skirt that is so versatile because of its mixture of colours.

I wore it with this vibrant green peplum top. I have had it for the longest time but it stays being one of my favourites!

I completed this look with toned down sandals and a matching iridescent bag. I always love how the colours of whatever I am wearing play off of this bag!! The look was so bright and fun I didn't want to taint it with any accessories!

Have a good week.

Take care.

A Mother's Love!

Hey!!! I woke up in a great mood because it was my mother's birthday today (24/09) and I had got her some pretty little things I was eager to give her. We went out for lunch and I wore this laid back outfit.

Glad for the 'not so bad weather', I wore my trusted skort with this light knit jumper.

I thought these t-bar sandals looked awesome with the outfit, with another Zara staple, my favourite bag, that carries EVERYTHING!! I wrapped this printed scarf for good measure because you never know with this British weather.

Hope you had a brilliant day.

Take care.

Wholesome Lady!!

Hey! It's was a great Saturday! I took my mother out for a pre-birthday lunch. The weather was surprisingly good too and we had a lovely & relaxed time.

I wore my white peplum top with these awkwardly green trousers. I liked the randomness of that green when I bought them and they are high waisted! I don't think I have much of that sort of style so next time I will show that off.

I added my two toned sandals because the weather permitted. If it had been a lousy wet day I'd have gone with these green patent pumps in the picture below!!

A pretty statement necklace and a clashing animal print clutch completed the look. My mother really like the look...wholesome she called it!!!

Hope you are having a good weekend too.

Take care.
